Mauch, Daniel 1477 Ulm - 1540 Lüttich, Nachfolger um 1600. Holz, dreiviertelrund geschnitzt und polychrom gefasst. Jugendlicher, schwebender Erzengel Gabriel in bewegter Haltung mit gelängtem Hals und Körper, in einem weißen Gewand mit starkem Faltenwurf und ausgebreiten Armen und Flügeln. Größe ca. 75 x 50 cm, Höhe ca. 88 cm. Gewicht ca. 6 kg. Wohl Teil eines Marienaltars als Verkündigungsszene, der Heroldstab oder die Lilien in der linken Hand fehlen. Wenige Reste der alten Fassung über verschiedenfarbigem Grund, teils best. An der linken Hand fehlen drei Finger, linker Arm unfachmännisch befestigt, teils alter Wurmbefall im Gewand (nicht mehr aktiv). 1477 Ulm - 1540 Liège, successor c. 1600. Wood, three-quarter round carved and polychrome painted. Youthful, hovering Archangel Gabriel in a moving pose with elongated neck and body, wearing a white robe with strong drapery and spread arms and wings. Size approx. 75 x 50 cm, height approx. 88 cm. Weight approx. 6 kg. Probably part of a Marian altar as an Annunciation scene, the herald's staff or the lilies in the left hand are missing. Few remains of the old version over a different coloured ground, partly destroyed. Three fingers missing on the left hand, left arm unprofessionally attached, partly old worm infestation in the garment (no longer active).
